Roboform is a great program. I use it for 2 main reasons. The first reason is for its password management capabilities. Second because it is a form filling program. I’ve been using Roboform for 9 months now and I don’t know how it worked before. I am online a lot and with Roboform I save at least 1 hour a day by checking my emails and different accounts.
Roboform is a toolbar that installs in your browser (eg Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox, Safari). The whole program is controlled through this toolbar which is very easy to use. You can customize the functions you want to display on the toolbar. Roboform is protected by a master password which is time sensitive. I set mine for a few hours as I spend a lot of time on the internet. But you can set it for 30 minutes if you like. Now that you’re logged into Roboform, let’s get into why you need this program.
Roboform’s password management works; the first enter a login and password for ANY website, a pop-up will appear asking you if you want to save the tab. Once the card is saved, you will no longer need to enter that information. To access that account all you have to do is go to the tab button on the toolbar and select the account you want to access. Roboform will automatically take you to the website and enter your username and password. If you have multiple accounts like me, you can see how nice it will be to have to type this information in every time. You will need to save your tile for each different site and username you have the first time around. However, Roboform will also save different usernames and passwords for the same website. For example, I have 8 yahoo emails all saved in my Roboform program.
The second reason I use Roboform is for its form filling capabilities. Filling out all the same information over and over again takes time. I save about 3 hours a day by using the form filling features. Roboform will save any information you choose to enter into it. And if they don’t have a field you need; you can create custom fields at the end of the program.
Roboform is free to try for 30 days. I suggest you download it and if you like it it costs $30 to buy a Pro license.
