What Is komoot?
The komoot app and the web version are both free to use, and you can decide later whether to buy one of our goods. It costs nothing to use the website, download the app, or arrange Tours. Simply create an account using your email address or Facebook account to get started.
A navigation and route-planning app is called Komoot. It lets you create routes on your computer or mobile device and generates them based on the riding style, terrain, and rider’s skill.
The difference between Strava and Komoot is a choice of performance data or secure route guiding via remote terrain, even though both applications provide several services that are similar. Riders that identify with the more competitive parts of off-road riding without a doubt choose Strava.
Choose “Start Here” by clicking anywhere on the map. It will be instantly saved as your starting point in the komoot route planner. To mark your location on the map, click another point.
Komoot has only recently been used as a turn-by-turn navigation tool. However, with constant GPS and Bluetooth use while the screen is on for navigation, my phone’s battery life is poor. In this usecase, the battery depletes from 70% to 0% in about an hour. That is essentially the only drawback I can think of with the Galaxy S10e.
During navigation and recording, Komoot shows both the maximum speed and the average speed. Since this data is already recorded during the recording, it would be wonderful to present the top speed in the finished Tour as well, allowing each user to monitor what their top speed during a Tour was.
The main difference between Komoot and Strava is that Komoot allows you to plan routes using the free version of the app whereas Strava now requires you to subscribe to access its route planning service.
